Book Review/ /Sengali, Christis Pinson

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
Summary (from Goodreads): For years Sengali has lived alone on his lush jungle mountain—fearless, powerful, and independent—until a hunting party of lionesses invade his territory. Wanting to irritate them, Sengali saves the life of their prey only to find the grateful creature now expects him to protect it! But what seemed to be a routine rescue mission quickly becomes much more when a strange, terrifying Dream begins to haunt both animals. Together, predator and prey set out on a quest to discover what the Dream could mean—for them and for their world—and to unravel its mystery before time runs out.

An unforgettable adventure of unlikely friendships, savage conflict, and tenacious faith, Sengali: A Cat’s Tale is a thrilling race for survival that grabs you by the throat and never lets go!

Thoughts: I've known the author of this book for more than half of my life. She is a great inspiration and role model. Her God-given talents are bountiful and so is her passion for serving others. You can tell in the characters in this book that she is driven to give God complete glory.
So getting back to the story, I'll let you know that I couldn't pick a favorite character. Loving just one is not possible. You get easily attached to everyone! The story was captivating and fast-paced based on a very well-known story. Yet it will never become dull with each retelling, because of the undying Truth throughout it. I won't say much more because I fear I will give away the plot. But trust me when I tell you that it is definitely worth the read to find out!

Genre: Christian, Historical fiction, & Adventure

Appropriate Synopsis: This book is geared towards the juvenile generation (ages 8 to 17), but the deep Christian messages within the story are relevant to all ages. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!
