Nail Art/ /Dotted Christmas Tree

Image
In the midst of this Holiday season, it's always important to not get distracted in the rush of things, such as buying gifts, staying up past your bedtime wrapping presents, baking naughty truffles and sweet chocolatey goodies. Take time to spend with family. One of my favorite things to do on my own is to have a movie marathon. Every year my sister and I like to start up a Christmas classic and do each other's nails. We love exploring different designs and festive looks. This year it was the simple and traditional Christmas tree. The list of polishes I used: Pacifica's Red Red Wine OPI, Alpine Snow Cirque Colors, xx    Sally Hansen, Miracle Gel Top Coat What to do next: Paint your base color first.  To make the tree, I simply dotted a triangular shape on my ring finger with the white polish using a dotting tool, ( here are some inexpensive tools I have ).  The rest of the nails are decorated with the sparkle polish. Top it off with a c

Recipe/ /Scrumptious Pancakes

Image
I love nothing more than creating experimental breakfasts or recipes on a morning when I have no plans. There's just something about making things from scratch that satisfies, is there not? The inspiration for this recipe came from a variety of other sites and pins on Pinterest. You might even know what three ingredients I used for making these fluffy pancakes are. Nevertheless, I will share how I came up with what is shown below. The three ingredients I used were : 1 medium banana 2 eggs 3tbsp of ground cinnamon Those are all the items I used to cook my scrumptious pancakes. Toppings are optional. A bit of drizzled honey, flakes of coconut, or whipped cream.. jk. I wouldn't encourage you to ruin your healthy breakfast with loads of unnecessary sugar. I chose almond butter to top off my pancakes because I am simply infatuated with the stuff. Of course, you can top it with whatever you prefer. I probably go through a jar of peanut butter, almo

Motivational Inspiration/ /Life is a Vapor

Image
If there's one thing that I've learned in my 17 years of existence is, the distractions of this life are abundant. Seems like I'm always living in the tomorrow. Just recently my Heavenly Father has opened my eyes to my rapid pace- you need to slow down. Between relationships, school, work, and Christmas just around the corner, along with the stress of all those things piled up on top of each other, it's enough to make a person swamped. I find myself stressed over the smallest of things, like what I'm going to wash tomorrow so that I'll be able to wear it on the days of work, or a certain chore that needs to be finished, how many algebra problems I need to complete, and the Instagram pictures I need to post, etc. Do you ever feel as if you're living in the next day? "Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." ( James 4

DIY/ /Christmas Tags

Image
Creating Christmas tags were always one of my favorite traditions. This year I decided to change up the routine a bit. Instead of cutting last-year's Christmas cards and transforming them into labels, I used some plain watercolor paper, water pencils (which can be picked up from your local craft store, or the craft aisle in Walmart ), along with pencils, rulers, scissors, and hole punchers.  I came up with most of my own inspiration, but I must admit that Pinterest helped a lot.  Here's some close ups of some of my favorites.
