Tennessee Shopping Haul

Image
I found this cute little cosmetic bag at an outlet store. I really needed a Bible case to hold and organize all of my Bible study tools and journals. I bought it intentionally for that specific purpose, but if my Bible didn't fit I would just use it for makeup or beauty accessories. I am thrilled to show you that my Bible indeed fit, along with all of my other tools and journals! And look, there's room for more! Vera Bradley/ / Tropical Paradise  design is only available in factory outlet stores. Here are some makeup/skin care products I purchased at a couple of the outlets. A girl's gotta shop during vacation, right? Sometimes I find the best products on trips! Clinique Pep-Start HydroRush Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 / / $29.50 Gives skin a healthy-looking glow and UV protection against the sun’s aging rays. Wear it alone, or under foundation as a prep for makeup. Fortunately, I purchased this the day after we arrived at o...

Royal Day + My Makeup Artist Kit

Image
This morning started off with carriages and English tea. I woke up before my alarm even went off, I was so eager to watch the Royal wedding. I've been looking forward to this for a month! You can say I'm a bit obsessed with the Royals. Her dress was gorgeous on her. At first, a little plain, but you could tell that she didn't need anything frilly or extra to be beautiful.  The veil, (which was 16-feet long) was absolutely stunning. I would definitely trip or end up rolling down those steps. Kudos to Meghan! Here are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after the ceremony. By tradition, male members of the Royal family receive a title from the monarch on their wedding day. The title of Duke of Sussex has always been regarded as the most likely choice for Prince Harry. Her eyes were the main beauty focus. She wore a smoky gray eyeshadow and bold, fluttery lashes, with brows that were outlined to fit her face. Not only did I get to...

Make a Dream A Reality

Image
Oftentimes, when we think of 'dreams' we think of things that more than likely won't happen. Why do we do that? Why do we belittle our dreams when we start to grow up? I remember dreaming up my future house. I had every little thing planned out. I knew exactly what my house mat was going to look like. My kitchen was going to be white, along with my cabinets and little counter stools. All of my future ducks were in a row, named and all. My future husband is going to be tall and handsome with green eyes, obviously. I had high standards when I was younger, why am I not as passionate about them now? They're still dreams, right? I still would love to have those things. Perhaps as we get older we tend to realize that the world is tougher than we thought it was. Even if you lose sight of your dreams for a little while, you can still achieve them. Never doubt yourself. Invest in yourself and you will go further than you can ever imagine.   Dreams can change too. W...

How to Wear a Blanket Scarf 101

Image
Have you ever gotten frustrated over trying to not suffocate by the trendy, but quite large blanket scarves? Well, fear no more. Because I came up with the perfect way to wear them and adore them to your style! First, you're going to have to decide which one matches the best. My favorite way of doing this is looking from a distance and noticing the first color that pops in the scarf, and I'll match my outfit to that color. Once you decide what blanket scarf you'll be wanting to wear, unfold the scarf completely. Then, take the corners opposite of each other and fold over to make a triangle. To get rid of the bulk and make it more like a scarf rather than a full blanket, turn it over a couple of times. Place it around your neck so that the smaller ends are going around the back.  Then bring the ends towards the front after twisting them around your neck. To hide the ends tuck them into the big portion of your scarf in the ...

Hair Tutorial/ /Holiday Hairstyle

Image
Here is one of my holiday updos!  Dutch braids wrapped loosely around her bottom and a cute volumized middle parting, finished off with a delicate little bow on top! ♡Anna

Hair Tutorial/ /How to Build a Braided Bun

Image
This updo is possibly my most favorite. Super easy and simple to do. Gives a touch of elegance and fun.  How I did it All right, so what you're going to do first is section the pieces framing the face away from the rest of the hair. Then section another area starting 4 inches from the nape of the neck, (this is going to be your base). The crown will be put in an elastic after being volumized (teased). Braid your base section with a braid of your choice, I chose to do a dutch braid. Wrap the braid and the strands coming from your elastic into a bun by twirling it in circles and then pinning it into place with bobby pins. Determine what your desired look will be and style the pieces framing the face by draping them towards the back and pinning them. I chose to do a simple rope braid for this look and left out a few little strands to curl.  What I used ♡Anna
