 Summary: Following the lives of several citizens of a small town near New York, Ashton has been invaded by a dark force that is headed for an imperceptible doom.
Marshall Hogan, a former editor of the New York Times has traded his big-city career for a small town newspaper in hopes of rebuilding his broken family. Trying to make things right in his own home, Marshall ends up getting bound in the hidden betrayals of Ashton. After an annual festival, his reporter, Bernice accidentally stumbles upon a classified and illegal meeting with some of the most powerful people in the town. One, being the highly praised preacher of the majority in the city, Reverend Young. Another, a professor in Ashton's college campus, who has a heavy influence on Marshall's daughter. Alf Brummel, the police chief is also in this web of sickening cultish behavior. The meeting gathers to discuss their final plans in overtaking the city for the intentional aim of creating a one-world-society. Basked in cultivated idolatry and hinduism worshipping, they're led by a much larger enemy.
Unseen are the ones in charge of this chaos, the demons. And their leader is one that holds the reign in this small town.
However, through the Remnant's prayers and faithful Christians, help arrives.
Tal, a mighty warrior of God is sent to protect and fight for the town of Ashton, and it's many confused inhabitants. By prayers and worshipping, Tal and Guilo, another mighty warrior, and other angels of the Heavenly Host grow strong and battle with the demons that try to beguile innocents into sinful slavery.

 Thoughts: This was an amazing book and really helped me to better understand the angelical presence that surrounds all of us. Two battles war on daily. The physical and the most easily forgotten; spiritual. Much recommended read!

 Genre: Christian, Fiction, & Mystery

 Appropriate Ages: 14+
Some of the physical battles that were discussed were the topics of adultery, suicide, murder, and rape. Therefore, I think the reader should have an understanding of those things before diving into this novel. 
The details from the spiritual war were quite gruesome and scary. Most of the demons portray another form to deceive humans, in which hides the true grotesque appearance.
Blood and death are other popular topics in the book.

Yesterday was one of those days when you go into the bathroom to find a quiet place to internally scream. Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this. Everything started out perfectly at dawn.
